Let’s take the example of Rahul, who wants to check the mobile number linked to his PAN card. Rahul has his Aadhaar card linked to his PAN card. Here are the steps Rahul can follow:

  • Rahul visits the Official UIDAI website (uidai.gov.in) and clicks on the “Aadhaar-PAN Linking” service option
  • On the Aadhaar-PAN Linking webpage, Rahul enters the details being asked:
  • His 12-digit Aadhaar Number (For example: 1111 2222 3333)
  • His 10-digit Permanent Account Number (For example, ABCDE1234F)
  • After he enters the numbers, he clicks on the “Link Aadhaar” button below
  • The portal then sends a One Time Password (OTP) to verify the linking process through the mobile number linked to his Aadhaar card
  • Let’s assume Rahul’s mobile number linked to his Aadhaar is 9876543210
  • Rahul receives the OTP on 9876543210 and enters it on the portal to verify the linking
  • Once verified, it means Rahul’s PAN is now linked to the Aadhaar details along with the mobile number 9876543210
  • So this confirms that 9876543210 is the mobile number linked to both Rahul’s Aadhaar and PAN card

In this manner, by initiating the PAN-Aadhaar linking process and entering the OTP received, Rahul learns that his mobile number, 9876543210, is linked to his PAN information.
